I just got a lovely rejection letter (if there is such a thing) from Victoria Lowes, Assistant Agent at Serendipity.

Firstly she apologised for taking so long to get back to me (almost 9 weeks) and then went on to say the reason why the reply took so long is that I have been one of the topics of conversation for some time.

Basically she wanted me to know this was not an auto form rejection and that my MS had merit and that not going further with it was a very difficult decision, saying “it is always difficult to say no to writers with talent and stories with merit”

She also added that “While I believe that your ideas might have market appeal, I am not convinced that we could represent them successfully at this time”

She finished by encouraging me to continue to look for representation as their decision was a commercial one, they simply were not the perfect match for my MS but hoped someone else would be.

As far as ER’s go, this is as good as it gets 

OK, so I submitted via their online submission process on the 21st of April 2012 and have heard nothing.
It says to re-submit if there has been no responce after 4-6 weeks, so I'll give it another week and if nothing, I intend to re-submit -- I'll keep everyone informed.
