Is he open to queries? The PM site says:
What I’m looking for:
My background in PR and marketing has taught me that a book’s (and author’s) marketability is essential to achieving success in the current publishing climate. My first question is always, “Does this have great publicity potential?” If the answer is, “Yes,” I’m usually intrigued.

I did hear back from steve the other day with a nice rejection letter. so it took a bit longer than the 2-3 months listed on the website, but it was nice to hear something back, even if it was a rejection.

Throwing in some feedback on my end: I'm almost finished with revisions to resubmit to him. He replied to me with an extremely helpful rejection in February in response to my partial, then invited me to resubmit if I made changes (he liked the story and felt I handled GLBTQ issues very well but had some problems with my protagonist--he was right). When I emailed back a day later to ask him how to proceed with sending a resubmission, he responded to me within an hour or two with how he'd like to receive it, then gave me additional query advise as he wanted to clarify that he wasn't promising representation but would be happy to look at it again. He also clarified no deadline, whether it's several weeks or a few months, as he wasn't promising anything. I've had a really nice experience with him over those few interchanges, and was really impressed by his professionalism and altruism. I hope that he will like my revisions.

I've had a similar experience w him, Kim.

Query on 2-3-13
Full request on 2-6-13

Nudge on 5-9-13. no response

Figured that I'd check in w him mid next month, but not optimistic that i'll hear anything.

Doubly sucks for me, because I had two agents that I'd absolutely love to represent my book request a full on the exact same day (one of those agents being steve) and haven't heard squat from either in almost four months. frustrating

I think I'd have been happier with an email that said, "You stink. Give up," as opposed to nothing at all in almost a year. But two email nudges directly to him with no response--I don't think it's an intern that dropped the ball. It could be my writing is just that bad. :0)

But I shall press forever onward.

This is the rare case where I think I would have called if I wanted the agent. It might have been lost between request and now. Interns and assistants come and go and lots of things could have happened to it No way I'd have waited this long for a response.

Kim, I don't blame you, since you waited almost a year to hear back.
