Sending query by snail in this day and age?

Wants exclusive snail mail query. According to QT Timeline, frequently doesn't respond to queries. I think that if you're going to demand an exclusive, then you should at least be very fast and very consistent about responding.

Snail Mail Query: 08/31
Email Full Request: 09/08
Full Sent: 09/14

In his email requesting the full manuscript, he recommended ensuring the opening chapters are the best they can be and said to take my time. I took the advice to heart and revisited the opening stories before sending.

Since this agent only accepts exclusive queries, do you think it's permissible to wait until everyone else has passed? If he expects to be queried first, it's a bit too late for me.

Mail Query: 08/31

He had sent a very kind email about some of my work he found in a literary journal and invited me to submit. I waited until no other agent had my MS, per his guidelines.

This agent will only read on an exclusive. He requested my manuscript but declined to read because it was out with other agents already. Just a note that if you're going to query perhaps only do so if you don't already have materials out there.

They accept snail-mail queries, so I sent one just for the heck of it. Got a snail-mail rejection @14 days on a literary thriller.

"I am sorry to report that our agency does not take on previously published authors, preferring to work with writers at the beginning of their careers."

They should probably put this on their website so others don't spend time and money to ship them a submission.

No simultaneous submissions and only by snail mail? You're kidding me.

What? They only accept exclusive queries? That seems unfair.
