Here is the "acknowledgement" :
SUBMISSIONS
Sterling Lord Literistic, Inc. is highly selective in offering representation to writers. We receive an extraordinarily large number of unsolicited submissions and can only seriously consider those with merit. Please submit to us via email by completing the form below. We regret that due to the volume of submissions we receive, we can only respond to queries if we are interested in seeing more material.
Please note that we do not represent screenplays.
Thank you!
So the "acknowledgement" of your submission is telling the author to fill out the form, which you just filled out.
On QueryTracker agent says to submit first three chapters or first 50 pages. Online form says 3 chapters.
Agents on QT listing says to put "Attn: Mary Krienke" in the subject line of the email and attach the sample pages as a Word document. Agency's instructions say to email your query by filling out the form. No email is involved. In fact, the QT listing says e-mail is not accepted, only an online form.
Anyway, since no email address was given for this agent or the agency, I filled out the form, pasted my synopsis in the synopsis section and the query letter in the QL section, addressing it to Mary Krienke, and picked MK's name on the pull-down list.
NOTE: Agency says if they think a different agent there would be a better fit, they will pass the submission on to that agent. So, does that mean they don't want you submitting to a different there if your original choice is not interested?
No idea.
