I queried through authors.me on 11/4/16 and never got a response. I've changed my title and edited my first chapter since then, so I just emailed her to check in, and included the updated query and first ten pages in the body of the email (on 2-27-17).

CNR: 3/17/17 - Their response times apparently take the better part of a year, so I'm simply closing this now for peace of mind.

Even though it says they look at queries from authors.me faster than the ones received by email, I still chose to send an email. Authors.me seemed really weird. They should use Query Manager!

Like StephenH, it took an awfully long time to get a response. She must be going thru her box and cleaning up. I also appreciate the response, even if it was a "Dear Author."

Had written this one off a long time ago. Still, nice to get a response.

80K Literary Fiction

Dear Author,

On behalf of the agents here at Lowenstein Associates, thank you for giving us the opportunity to consider your work. I apologize for the form letter, but the volume of query letters we receive means we cannot send every writer a personal response. Please know that we do give each and every query serious attention.

Unfortunately, we do not feel strongly enough about your project to pursue it further. Agenting is very subjective, however, and even though we could not take on your project, another agent might feel differently.

Please accept our best wishes for success in your writing career.
