Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

This guy is a phantom, I take it? His Agentquery page says he does not accept email queries, then, further down, says will accept queries by email only! Duh?

It also says there that he is not currently accepting unsolicited queries, so who knows. No link at Publisher's marketplace but no negative report showing at P & E.

no website. Info on Agent Query is incomplete. Info on Publisher's Market is non-existant. Does not appear to still be in business.

Raw data shows no responses to queries since 5/17/2008. Is this agent still active?

Yep, I'm pretty sure he is. After about five months with my full, he finally passed on it. Only about a week ago, he passed on it. So I know he's constantly looking for some material. He made some very encouraging comments, though. It just wasn't right for him, he thought.

I sent him an equery on the 17th, got the form rejection on the 19th. So he's fast. I'm not sure if it's the subgenre he's not interested in or what, but since I have 7 requested fulls I'm currently waiting to hear back on, I'm guessing it's the concept itself that doesn't float his boat.

Sent a query letter, synopsis, and SASE by mail to the Literary Department Coordinator. Received a rejection letter in the mail 9 days later.

Rejection letter was addressed to the wrong name. I'm female. The name was a man's name. At least they got my surname right!

Contents of letter included..."unfortunately am not sufficiently enthusiastic about your synopsis to request further material."

Letter was unsigned and attributed to Literary Department Coordinator
