This is to notify everyone that Karen E. Q. Miller was my literary agent from 7/13/2010 until 9/24/2011, but she called me on 9/24/2011 to say she was retiring from the agent business for health reasons. She promised to contact me again within two weeks about two agents she was referring me to, but she never did. She hasn't responded to any of my calls or emails since, so 9/24/11 was the last time I heard from her. It's my belief that her phone call on 9/24/11 VERBALLY ended our contract, so I consider our agent contract to be no longer in effect, but it would be nice to get it in writing to make everything all legal and official! Should I send her a certified letter and ask her to sign it and return a copy, like she did when she sent me the agent contract in 2010? Or am I worrying too much? Thanks.

On her website, it says she is a former literary agent.

I've found her website for her writing and one for her publishing company, but her agency website seems to be missing. Maybe she has dropped agenting from her list. I'll have to investigate further. Thanks.

Have you checked out her website? It states, "My name is Karen E. Quinones Miller, and I'm a published author, literary consultant, editor, and CEO of my own publishing company."

What agency does she work for? She appears to own a publishing company. Is it legit or a vanity press? I'm certainly not out to besmirch this woman, but she does not appear to be a "literary agent" as the term is commonly used. Indeed, she offers a boot camp for authors to pay her to get help getting their work published. If I'm wrong, by all means delete my comments or let me know and I'll delete them myself.

Kind regards.

I think this woman is an author, not an agent.
