Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

I'm glad I checked here while waiting for an answer to a friend on how many pages is a good sample. I won't spend the time.

OF: Feb 19
ER: Feb 20 (same 'not adding many new titles' form BS as below. Sorry. It just irks. If she's not taking new clients, why is she open to queries? There's 10 minutes of my life I'll never get back. I guess I should have checked the comments on here before I bothered to query her, not after. My bad.)

Thank you very much for submitting In 3 Days to me for consideration. I am not adding many new titles to my list at present, and thus must respectfully decline.

Has anyone heard back from her? I queried on 8/3/2014 through submittable and haven't heard anything. When I check the site, it just says "In Progress." whatever that means.

FYI to save time for other folks who may be submitting YA or children's manuscripts to her, she responded back to my query that she is no longer taking on Young Adult and Children's titles. I appreciated that she took the time to reply to me and explain this. (I submitted a PB.)

Sorry, but I'm a little put-off that I have to make an account with submittable.com to send my query.

Added my query to the form and attached ten pages. I wasn't sure how many pages, hope this'll be OK. 1/13 YA/ teen adventure w/ a spec twist.

She replied in about a week, with a very nice rejection, saying she was so busy right now that she's not taking additional work.
