Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

On 12/19/13, I queried Chris with Chain Reaction. Last month I gave him a nudge. As of Monday, it's closed/no response. I"ll try Seth next month with CR.

Anyone know if he accepts YA? The website isn't clear. (I'm only asking because my MS is set in Alabama and he was born there.)

Has anyone heard from Chris Parris-Lamb recently? I queried end of May and have heard nothing.

Thank you so much for sending us your query. We promise we’ll be reviewing each submission, but please understand that due to the volume of emails we receive, it is now our policy to respond (usually within four weeks) only if we are interested in seeing more material. Thanks again for thinking of us. We sincerely wish you all the best.

Best wishes,
The Gernert Company

On 3/22/2011, I've sent him an equery. Today I've gotten the same rejection as Evenguy.

Third rejection in ten days. Agents must be doing year-end desk-clearing.

"Thanks so much for sending us your query regarding COLD GATHER, which we've now had a chance to review.

Though what you've written promises to be thoughtful and compelling, I'm afraid we were unable to find a place for it at this agency.

Do know that we're glad you considered us, and that we wish you the best of luck in placing your work elsewhere.

Best Wishes,

Anna Worrall
Assistant to Chris Parris-Lamb"
