Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

Rejection: 4/18. Alas, not meant to be, but she gave some helpful tips and I really appreciated the swift response - I bet she'd be great to work with. Good luck to the rest of you!

Weird... I queried her on 2/17 and haven't heard a thing, yet I'm seeing rejections then, and more recently... is she hopping around with her responses, I wonder?

I'm not really sure what agents are looking for nowadays:

EQ: 2-19-2016
ER: 3-2-2016

"Please forgive this impersonal note but the high volume of correspondence makes it difficult for us to respond to you personally. Thank you for your query. Unfortunately it doesn’t match what we are looking for at this time. We hope other agents feel differently."

Who knew it would be THIS hard to get an agent. I always know its a rejection, once I see the "Dear Author," on the timeline of inbox.

Dear Author,
Please forgive this impersonal note but the high volume of correspondence makes it difficult for us to respond to you personally. Thank you for your query. Unfortunately it doesn’t match what we are looking for at this time. We hope other agents feel differently.

The most impersonal of form rejections.

When they say it's not right for them "at this time," it makes it sound like they might be interested in two months when what they really mean is they didn't read it, or they don't like it.

"Dear Author" form. The worst.
