I may be interested as well. I've been marketing mine as contemporary women's fiction (with romance), single title romance, or upscale commercial fiction (book club fiction). If you could PM me with a little blurb, I could do the same. We could also read first 3 chapters then continue if it worked out. Let me know.

I am also looking for a beta reader and willing to swap. My manuscript is women's fiction with elements of mystery, romance and literary fiction. I'm willing to swap as well. Let me know if anyone is interested.

.
I'm interested.  Women's fiction with elements of romance, 94K words.

Is it possible to form a critique group online?  Maybe we could all read each others' first 3-4 chapters?  Thoughts anyone?  :!:

White Gardenia...I think that would be a great idea...time permitting...That way we'd all get several different perspectives...Does this site allow for blog threads by specific groups do you know? If not we could create a blogster or other online doc.

Heard back from Patrick:

Hi Gardenia,
You can create a private group over on the main site and use that for critiques. Just don't check the boxes for "List Publicly" and "Anyone May Join" to keep it private.

Not sure I know how to do this... Anyone?

Hey there everyone, sorry for the delay in response! I haven't visited for a while. I hadn't had any replies after a couple of weeks so I thought the thread had fizzled out! My bad. I'd definitely be interested in swapping a few chapters among a critique group :)

From Patrick:

Hi Gardenia,
You will have to use their names from the main site.

Once everyone is on board, they can each create a separate thread for each manuscript.

Per Patrick, we cannot upload our entire ms, but we can copy/paste chapters into a thread.

Name your thread the title of your story, then copy/paste first 3? chapters.

Or should we start out with our query?

Anyone want to take the lead and start a thread in the group stating the instructions/guidelines?  I've never done this before.
