My SFR Ultimate Duty was released in November from Eternal Press.

It's a revision into an R-rating on my SF (the first one I posted in this thread), First Duty.

I also just released another rewrite/reprint of a book that just ran out on its contract. The old book: The Seven Adventures of Cadida. The new book: The Tales of Abu Nuwas.

MuseItUp publishing has purchased all my books that agents sneered at. Well, maybe they didn't really sneer; it only felt like it. The first one is a suspense/mystery titled "Missing, Assumed Dead" scheduled for July 2011. In October 2011, the first book in my Witches of Galdorheim series, "Bad Spelling," will be released. I know that the other two book have been accepted, but the release dates aren't scheduled yet.

My website has everything posted with links and covers.

My book Homework Helpers: Essays and Term Papers will be out on Thursday Jan 20th. It's available for pre-order through all the other retailers (and will start shipping on Thursday) but Amazon is already shipping orders out so if you'd like to get it a few days early, head to Amazon :)

Here's the blurb and some links :)

The newest addition to our best-selling Homework Helpers series is a fun, user-friendly guide that takes the confusion out of writing essays and papers for students of all ages. Unlike other books that are so full of technical jargon they confuse more than help, Homework Helpers: Essays and Term Papers uses straightforward language and simple steps to guide students through the essay-writing process.

Homework Helpers: Essays and Term Papers
# Describes in detailed "plain English" each element and step involved in writing a dozen different types of essays

# Includes a rough, edited, and final draft sample of each type of essay discussed

# Explains the necessity of proofreading and citing sources, providing tips and instruction on how to accomplish these tasks

# Presents step-by-step instructions on how to write a great SAT essay

Students of all ages can find help on writing essays for every major subject in high school or college. Beginners will find guidance on the basics, while those further along in their educational careers can adapt the detailed instructions for more in-depth assignments.

Not sure it's for you? Visit the Books page on my website at http://www.remcdermott.com/books and check out the short (2 minute) video trailer and linked reviews. What do you have to lose?

Praise for Deadly Straits
(Links to full reviews on site)

“A fast-moving thriller packed with action and intrigue.”
—Scott Nicholson, best-selling author of Liquid Fear

“With his debut novel, McDermott sets the bar high—very high. This ambitious novel will keep you turning the pages to get to the thrilling conclusion. This is a truly impressive first book. I look forward to reading more from him.”
          —Neal Hock, Bookhound’s Den

“A gutsy debut. This is international intrigue in the hands of an expert. With his breathless pacing and punchy prose, McDermott knots a complicated plot so real it might as well be breaking news. Deadly Straits ravages like a category-five hurricane: unpredictable, merciless, and fierce.”
—L.C. Fiore, award-winning author of Green Gospel

“A word of warning — when you sit down to read Deadly Straits, make sure you have time to read it in one sitting. You will not want to put this book down.”
         —Chris Gerrib, POD People Review

“Five Stars – A Brilliant Thriller.”
—Cheryl – Amazon Reviewer (U.K.)                                    Link to all 10 Amazon reviews on my site

How to Get a Literary Agent In Two Murders or Less

Aspiring novelist Amanda Anderson has never had any luck, but she hopes that's about to change. She goes to a writer's conference to find an agent, but ends up with a husband. After a whirlwind courtship, she elopes with bestselling suspense writer Jonny Goodsnuff. But she soon discovers that her husband's only good on paper. Between a draconian prenup, his sleazy associates, her wicked stepchildren, and the hunky romance-novelist neighbor, Amanda learns the meaning of "wed in haste, repent at leisure." Unfortunately Jonny has a deadly secret, and before she can walk away, Amanda finds herself in a desperate game of cat and mouse. But who are the cats? And who are the mice? And most importantly, will any of this bring her closer to a publishing contract?

You can read the first thirty pages here:

Thanks, Liz.  It will teach you the one surefire way to instant bestsellerdom.  Unfortunately, it only works when someone dies...

And you could be the next to go.

Tear it up, Nebelheim. Buono fortuna.
Critiques should spur growth and improvement. Neither is painless.

I don't do personal attacks, defense/debate of work or grudges.

Remember, my comment's worth exactly what you paid for it. Use it, ignore it or PM-me and I'll remove it.

Buona fortuna!
