Odd situation .... or is it?
« on: October 02, 2008, 07:24:02 AM »
Yesterday I got a request for a the full MS, hardcopy, from an agent I had queried on July 1, got no answer, and then queried again (by mistake...I was tired and didn't notice the earlier query somehow) on September 26.  And it's an agency that apparently prefers snailmail queries and says it takes 4-6 weeks to respond.  So, I guess the lesson here is: requery after several months if your first one was not answered (especially if their Sub. Guidelines do not say "if you don't hear from us, we don't want it"... and go ahead and send an email query rather than no query at all...and don't believe everything on the agency's website!

Is this an odd situation?  or a common one?//Sally Ann

Hi Sally,
This has become commonplace for me anyway.  I started to requery after two months of silence and have gotten multiple requests from several whom I might have otherwise closed as "no response".
