Best resource I found for eBook formatting
« on: July 10, 2015, 06:20:19 PM »
For anyone interested in trying to format an eBook themselves, I recommend Guido Henkel's Zen of eBook Formatting.  (Here's the link to it on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Zen-eBook-Formatting-Step---step-ebook/dp/B00KJAH4HS/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1436570279&sr=1-1&keywords=guido+henkel  )
It has a step-by-step conversion method that works quite well, and it was a life-saver for me because I stumbled onto it after going through a lot of frustration!  :cbash:  The author also has the steps in a tutorial that he did in a series of posts on his blog, but he's included all of the same information (plus additional info on more complex formatting topics) in the book.  (And I love any how-to book that has 'zen' in the title!)  :zen2: :)

I'm lucky enough to have InDesign. It's expensive but it will format into epub, mobi and pdf.
