Agent profile directed me to QueryManager, which introduced me to QueryTracker, which introduced me to this valuable and generous community of authors.

How I found QT is (for me) far less important than the fact I did find it!

I am seeking representation and publication of ms, the lore covers most genres. The theme is dark, adult (older YA), contemporary urban fantasy with magical realism.

Thank you, QT for offering such a great tool and community!

Happy to be here.

A developmental editor on YouTube recommended this site. I like it so far!

I look forward to sharing my first five pages.

Slowly.  Spent months looking up how to get published online and found nothing but scam after scam trying to bilk me out of money.  Found this site a week or so ago, and have already received plenty of rejections (very few agents seem to be looking for non-fiction books about social issues in baseball, it seems like many are focused on YA fiction or women), but at least it's a step in the right direction.  This site is wonderful and full of extremely intelligent people, not the kind of people I generally get to interact with here in Las Vegas.

This site was mentioned by multiple people, to the point where I realized it would be dumb not to check it out. I'm glad I'm here.

At the start of the UK lockdown, I decided it was time to write my second novel, Zen And The Art Of Saving Life On Earth.  A year later, it was ready but I wasn't sure whether I should just give the novel away for free online or try selling it (ie via agents / publishers).  I did a google search for agents taking online submissions and was impressed so many seemed happy and willing for manuscripts to be submitted this way.

With more and more potential recipients of my work insisting they preferred to be contacted through querytracker, it wasn't long before I was scouring the site for suitable places to send my work.

I must have sent it to 400 agents.  I have to say I'm dismayed at how much many of the agencies valued huge social media followings (I'm not a fan of SM).  Still, who knows, I might someday be a fan - at least, by the time I get round to considering writing a sequel / 3rd novel.

Are we all cool with going extinct in 50 to 100 years?  I mean, coral bleaching, wtf???  That can't be healthy.

Heroes needed.  Can U help?

A writing friend on Critique Circle pointed me to Nathan Bransford and he pointed me here.  :)
