So I got word from my literary agent today that a "heavy hitter" film agent has now signed up to rep my book. The film agent is putting together a list of 20 companies that he's going to submit the book to, and we're talking the week after New Year's. My lit agent told me that he's often tried to get this film agent interested in his clients, and this is the first time he's said yes.

So. So yeah. Merry Christmas, I guess?

It's probably too early to be thinking about my outfit to the Oscars, though I admit that I had a little daydream today.

(Also, as a man, I'm wearing a tux, of course. It's not like there's that much variety for the people sitting in the way back. Not that I'm thinking about it, because that would be insane.)

Yay! That's awesome news!

But, also, try not to get too excited because a lot of times it goes nowhere. BUT! You can at least be happy that you wrote something that a film agent at least thinks could be marketable to Hollywood.
