Anyone have any examples of past pitches (35 words) that have been successful? Trying to compose mine and would love to see what got others in the door! TIA!

Here's a 2016 page on how to put a 35-word pitch together, not an example of a successful one, though.

I entered today with this pitch:
In the 1930s, hundreds of African-Americans immigrated to the Soviet Union. Mikhail Khalatsyn’s father was one of those ex-pats. Now a GRU officer, Mikhail comes to New York in the 1980s to recruit American spies.
Exactly 35 words.

didn't work on a pitch and I think all my old ones are longer or shorter...
I'll have to look them up.

only had elevator pitches but when I saw Sam Joyce was in there I felt it was a sign.
my 35 word pitch goes like this:
When best friends since childhood –Steve, Kate, and Amaya– realize they all have feelings for one another, each has to figure out if their new found feelings are worth more than their ten year friendship.
good luck to everyone.
