Good morning, everyone. I'm new to the QT community, and look forward to participating and learning.

I've been published in nonfiction for about 30 years, both popular and academic, and finishing a new book for this fall. But the last four years, I've been writing a lot of fiction again, and working on both the storycraft and on finding representation in that new world. It's not easy being slush... Smiley

Nice thought. Smiley Alas, no. It's a description of the state of my writing since I happily walked away from higher ed in 2013. I used to be paid to be interrupted. Now... my time is mine. (And my wife's, and my cats', and my town's, and my clients'.) But the number of meetings I participate in is maybe 10% of what it was before.  And the real work has emerged.
