For the second year, the scholarship I run will be holding a Flash Fiction writing contest.  I need 5 - 8 published, traditional or self, people to judge it.  The first round will run from July 1 to October 31. The final round will be in November.  If you're interested, please PM or email me at jacobsscholarship@gmail.com.  You can find information about the scholarship at http://jacobsscholarship.weebly.com/ Thanks!

Can you post more info about it? What the judges would have to do, the time commitment and all that jazz?

Good idea.  Smiley

The contest runs from July 1 to October 31. It is limited to 150 entries of 200 - 750 words. The first and second rounds run simultaneously. I would like eight judges. They will not have to read more than 38 stories total.  Judging would look like this:

Judge #1 reads story and scores it. The scores will include if they believe it should move to the next round. A story could get top scores, but the judge still feels as though it's a great first round story, but not good enough for round two. The story would then be randomly sent to another judge would would read, score, and decide if it should move on to the final round. I do not read any of the stories in case I'm needed to break a tie.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
