Guys - my creepy little story entitled "Justin's Room" was selected for an anthology. I know it won't seem like much to you battle-hardened veterans, but it'll be my first short story published in print, and I'm pretty psyched. I'd pretty much given up on anyone wanting it.

Thanks again, everyone. Alislove, your comment is so true. I wrote this story at least 2 years ago - maybe even 3 - and shopped it around with no luck. But I believed in it and kept my eye on Submittable (which I highly recommend for anyone who writes short fiction or non-fiction for magazines) looking specifically for a magazine or anthology running a "nitch" theme into which "Justin's Room" might fit. Everyone now and then, one would pop up, and I submit the story hoping this would be the one. This success has inspired me to dig out 3 of my other short stories I'd shelved and try to find them homes, too. Writing is passion, it's true, but publication is perserverance.

Amazing news.   makes me want to look at submitting shorter work out there too.

Don't downplay it, you work was good enough to put in an anthology, that is a good thing.
