I recently heard about a brand-new agent who might be a very good fit for my manuscript. The agency appears to have some very high-profile clients, but I don't see any sales in my particular genre. Should I still query? (Just to clarify, yes, this agent does represent my genre.)

A new agent who is backed by an established agency, especially if the agent was an intern or assistant, could work out nicely. There's little to lose in querying.

If the new agent offers, ask how the agent intends to make contacts in that genre, since none of the agent's supposed mentors are well-connected. See what the answer is.
