I would like to warn everyone about a woman calling herself Melanie Green who pretends to be an American TV producer. I know people who have lost a great deal of money by trusting her. She promises to publish your work in return for you writing stories for her - usually children's stories, promising that when she strikes a mega deal you will get a huge lump sum. She also offers to represent people for a considerable fee promising that their book will be made into a film, a video game, you name it! The deal never happens and nobody sees a penny. She's been reported to the police here in the UK but I think there is little they can do.
