Genre for agents
« on: September 05, 2019, 10:40:05 PM »
Hello All,

I am new and have a question. What genre would you put a book with haiku poetry and photography together? Fine art? poems? Its hard to find the agent if I can't classify my work :-)

QueryTracker has a search function for "Offbeat/Quirky" under genre, so I'd include that in addition to fine art/poetry.

Go for photography, and use the haiku poetry to illustrate the photos.

I agree. You might also want to look for small presses that specialize in poetry/photography combinations.
