It may be in the "read this again and think about it" pile, which many agents do have. It's easy to reject the query that's one long continuous sentence or submitting a cookbook to an agent who reps YA fiction. It's easy to accept the query that's exactly what you're looking for and the author already had a bestseller. Most of us on this forum will fall into the middle.
The "I'll re-read these pages in the cold light of day" pile may also be the "My assistant screened the queries and these are the 5% of queries that seem promising" pile.
