Just saw your post, since I haven't visited the forum for a bit.
Yes, we have had a few scorching days in Atlantic Canada, but usually only 2 or 3 in a row. Still, reaching such high temperatures even this often is way different from how the climate used to be, especially in June. My neighbor, who is 77, often comments on the climate change. I've been in Canada only 14 years.
The Pacific coast, mainly around Vancouver, British Columbia, has had sustained, extreme heat waves and many deaths related to it. It really should be a warning to the rest of the world, when Canada starts frying from the heat in early June.
