Title Help - literary/magical realism
« on: July 24, 2021, 05:05:30 AM »
Hi everyone, I'm struggling to decide on a title for my novel, so I'm looking for anybody who'd like to express their preference out of the options I gathered so far. At this stage, I'd mostly like to have a title that stands out in the query letter and grabs the agents' attention. With this in mind, anybody's feedback is more than welcome. Thanks

- HERE SOMEONE IS CRAZY
- VACUUM CLEANER
- WAKE UP EARLY
- WAKE UP EARLY AND HOOVER
- SOUR CREAM
- LEV WHISPERS

The title is unlikely to stay the same if the book gets picked up by a publisher, but the best advice for titles that I heard was to look at other recently pubbed titles in your genre, write their titles down, and look for trends. Then see if you can come up with a title that fits one of the trends in your genre.

That said, for me, the titles I like here are Vacuum Cleaner or Wake Up Early. For literary, I feel like Vacuum Cleaner sounds like something I'd see on a shelf.

Sour Cream is so strange it immediately piques my interest.
