Glossary for Timeline colors?
« on: June 06, 2022, 12:38:26 PM »
The color coding on the agents' Timeline charts are easy, sort of easy, and less easy to understand.
Red= rejection
Green= full request
Pale green= partial request
pale red= CNR
Purple = offer
 I enlisted another writer to get the above. But neither on of us can figure out the sky(pale) blue. I can't find a Vimeo to explain all the colors, either.

Hi 217,
The pale blue is the time between an agent's request for a submission and when the author actually sent the submission. It's kind of limbo time where nothing is happening, so it couldn't be any of the other colors, but there had to be something there so I went with light blue.

I hope that helps. If not, or you have any other questions, please let me know.

I remember thinking that purple must mean the author has been holding her/his breath forever, waiting for an answer.

You may be onto something there, Munley.

I always thought about it as purple being the color of royalty, and soon the author will be collecting royalties. So...

I like your notion much better. Purple is good.
