I have been dutifully sending queries to agents and small publishing houses but after 100+ queries, I am starting to think that my chances as a debutant are very low. Conversely, hybrid publishers react almost immediately (for all the obvious reasons). While I understand that the fundamental differences, those hybrid publishers seem to be able to provide many of the same services as traditional publishers. In particular, I have been in contact with MindStir Media. Do you have any views on them or any other "true" hybrid publishers (as opposed to "vanity" publishers that I don't want to deal with).
