It's always interesting to see how your characters' sexuality comes in play when you least expect it. My readers have described my book as "sexy" which baffled me (5 total pages of sex in 350 does not erotica make), but they all mentioned something along the lines of Aiala's post. Apparently, there's way more sex in my novel than I wrote. Granted, I also like reading the nonsexual scenes that are highly charged with chemistry, but they're very difficult to recognize while you're writing them. Maybe that's a good thing? Means we're not trying too hard to achieve that?
Now I really want to read Aiala's ms someday...
