I just saw this thread now! I read the Writer's Digest 101 Best Writer Sites a few weeks ago and couldn't figure out why QT wasn't on it--I'm going right now to add my vote--yay QT! award

Hi All. It's that time of year again to nominate QueryTracker for the Writers Digest 101 Best Websites List.

Send an E-Mail to writersdigest@fwmedia.com with “101 Websites” in the subject line and nominate QueryTracker.net.

It's easy, all you have to say is:
"I would like to nominate QueryTracker.net for the 101 Best Sites of the Year.  Thank you."

Thank you.

Done!

Was this site not on the list last year? I would be so shocked if it wasn't because how I found the site in the first place was back when I was querying my first novel for the first time and an agent's site said If you are only getting rejections, why don't you join a writers' site and see if those folks can clue you in to what you might be doing wrong.

And QueryTracker was listed with AbsoluteWrite and Writers' Digest, so I joined all three, and since the 2nd was too chaotic and the last was too slow, it was here that I made my home. A bit of a Goldilocks and the Three Bears story for me.  Grin

ETA: And what were a couple of the first things I learned here? That over 200k for a word count was insane, and so was opening with a contemplating character and tons of scenery.  naughty Oh, and also just as important, my query stank to high heaven.  Yes
