Poor Lege. He's taking this worse than me! I've already gone crazy. I'm on the return trip now. Thank God I can immerse myself in my student's end of the semester craziness most of the day (while I know it's night in Aussie-land). It's the late afternoon and evening at home when I look at my email obsessively.

Oh...and congrats, Coll! Those requests keep rolling in! Full or partial?

Absolutely! I second that. I've been checking this site today soley for JW updates.
May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, may no spiders fall on your head.

Me too.

These were not the best days to take a break from the edits.  I keep coming back to Cool Agent That Emails Lots and JW.

It's like a picture book, but with those pop up things that scare the poop outta me.

me three - i was a 'guest' all afternoon at work.  JW, if any positive vibes can be gleaned from nearly getting caught TWICE looking to see how you fared, then you have quite a store of karma!

Dear JW's soon to be agent,

You are being very unfair.  At least 10 people's lives are being spent in a state of constant refresh due to your lack of response.  PLEASE PLEASE respond soon with an offer of representation for our amazing friend.  We await your TIMELY response!

Love and kisses and a nudge,

OMG..Is it possible to have a stand-up comedy act on a forum? Coz Lannie's got one...karma again!
Thanks GG! (you know, I realized I don't know YOUR real name..and I do know Mr. Lege's, but since he's officially changing his name to Lege, it doesn't even matter.)

Okay, I am beginning to get the picture now. Your letter explains why so many literary agents had gone to court to have peace bonds issued against me. I need to learn to tone it down a bit. Nice Letter, GG. It gets the point across without a direct threat.

This is the kind of letter I would have sent.

Dear JW's soon to be agent, or else you’re in more trouble than a fly in a fly swatter factory.

You are being EXTREMELY unfair.  At least 10,000 people's lives are being spent in a state of constant refresh due to your lack of response.  I am talking about people with hard cold cash, cash just waiting to be spent on JW’s novel. Most of us have already preordered it online. We demand a rapid response with an offer of representation for our amazing friend.  We await your TIMELY response, or else!

Love and kisses and a nudge, or else.

QT

On second thought. Let's go with Lannie's suggestion. I vote to add on her line. Peace bond or no peace bond.

Yes, send that letter. I keep logging on full of hope for JW.

It was a full. Also, had a full request from Random House. Fingers crossed.
