oops
« on: June 03, 2010, 08:59:52 AM »
I saw on the agent updates that an agent is now taking unsolicited queries for a short time. I just sent one off, not sure if she will want it because its YA and she does not specify YA though she is looking for paranormal romance - then at the bottom of the website I saw dont query more than one agent, they will make sure the query gets to the right agent. Well I met a different agent at a conference in March and she rejected my sub, so I hope its ok that I queried this other agent from the same agency!  IN the long run it probably doesnt matter much as I'm not very confident that she will want a YA anyway, I just gave it a shot. Worst she can say is no, right?

Hey, Kimmy, I queried the same agent (if it's the one I posted a comment on yesterday), and I'm not sure she takes my genre! But what the heck! A long shot is better than no shot.

She may not even know you queried another agent. I wouldn't worry about it.

Agents get so much mail that they probably wouldn't figure it out anyway. I wouldn't worry about it. Good luck! :)

Well, that was quick! "Not her type of book." Have you heard anything yet, Kimmy? At least, she's fast, unlike so many agents who seem to take forever to tell you "no."

Onward and upward!  :ride:

"not quite for her" which is fine, I thought she was a long shot anyway!
