Stardust is a book?
Okay, that's going on my list of to-reads. I'm going to see the movie Sunday!

You must read it! So far it's really good (I'm a slow reader, and I keep getting interruptions so I'm only on page forty something....). It took me by surprise. I found it in the young adult section, and it's written like a fairy tale for young adults, but I consider it more of a fairy tale for adults. I don't know. Obviously, young adults can read it, but I wouldn't suggest it for the kids who wander into the YA section because some kids' books are too simple for them.

Hmm ... hard to explain without revealing anything. JUST READ IT.  ;D  ;)

Have you ever heard of Idlewild by Nick Sagan? (Carl Sagan's son)
My son devoured it, but I haven't gotten to it. Thought maybe you knew (since he doesn't talk to me if he can help it other than to ask what's to eat).

Cool. I buy my kids book whenever they asked and even when they don't, but I'm a stingy you know what with everything else (except food of course, and movies!)

Slouchy and lazy about it, but not stingy. I'm not exactly housewife of the year. ;)

I'm almost done with Perfume. Such writing! And what a character!

After I finish, I may not pick up another book, because my schedule becomes cruel and inhuman in a week. But, if I ever see a second of free time, I will be reading Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. It looks like an amusing read.

Glad you liked it. Freaky, freaky. I forgot how much it influenced my writing.

Just finished Perfume. Amazing!!! What a strange, strange book. I will be thinking about it for a long time to come....

Chelc, I haven't seen you (and by that I mean I haven't read your posts) in so long!

I'm going to start Good Omens now. I was planning to go to sleep two hours ago, but I got lost in Perfume. Must read nonstop before school hits.
