Beta readers for YA contemporary anyone?
« on: November 08, 2010, 07:10:14 AM »
Hi there. I'm in the process of finsihing YA contemporary (~65K words) and am keen to get some critiques and more than happy to offer in return. I'm a fast reader (and former English teacher) and read most genres except really hard core sci fi.

We can exchange first 50 and go from there maybe?

If you're interested, reply here and thanks in advance.

Hi, I am working on a ya contemporary and would love some feedback too.

Send me an email at elizabeth.arroyo5@gmail.com if you'd like to swap. I'm more comfortable giving crits on craft: character development, tone etc than line edits.

First fifty works for me.

Another YA contemporary person here.  My first five are up and I'm getting ready to send out some queries and synopses but would LOVE feedback and am happy to return it.  I teach writing and lit at a college in western Mass but haven't been published in fiction yet.  I'm at stephanie.wardrop@gmail.com if anyone wants to trade fifties!

Probably best to start new threads for additional requests...

I am looking for a new set of eyes to look over my YA Fantasy manuscript before I query.  Would you be interested?  We can swap the first 50 pages or first 3 chapters to begin, and see how we work together?
