I had that very same reaction kicking off my blog.  I thought I wouldn't feel that way, because the blog has a very strict construct-- it's a blog about book publicity, not about me.  But even so, the dust bunnies under the bed are calling to me.

Am following you, Lannie.  Nice job.  If you're having difficulty keeping the poetry brief, perhaps putting your hand to haiku would offer the constraints you need.    "I was working on the proof of one of my poems all the morning, and took out a comma. In the afternoon I put it back again."
