*Update: Waited past one-year mark to send second follow-up e-mail regarding the full manuscript that Wendy McCurdy requested from me.. NO RESPONSE. Authors, don't bother with this editor. Waste of your valuable time and not worthy of your work and talent.

AUTHORS, DO NOT SEND QUERIES TO WENDY MCCURDY. MY EXPERIENCE WITH HER WAS HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING. THIS IS AN EDITOR WHO COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT AUTHORS. SHE IS RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL.

Sent query to Wendy McCurdy
She replied within a couple of weeks with a request for the full manuscript.
Sent the next day.
That was a year ago, and I have heard nothing.
She ignored a polite follow-up at the six-month mark.
Total silence for a full year.
Another publishing "professional" with zero respect for authors and the time and effort we invest in our work.
Even most literary agents acknowledge that although agents and editors don't owe a response to a query, they DO owe authors the courtesy of a reply when a full manuscript is requested.
How hard is it to send an e-mail?
Very disappointing.
Note to editors and agents: like you, writers work very hard. Please treat us with the same courtesy that you rightfully expect from us.
