If you did not put the day and date of the pitch workshop where I listened to your pitch, the email address of one of my current clients, or the email address of the editor as a referral, then I will send the submission back to you. We will hop on a zoom to see if we're a good fit for a agent-author relationship.

There will be a clause authors sign when I land the deal with a traditional publisher that no generative AI has been used in the writing of the manuscript. I need that to be true. Authors wrote manuscripts long before generative AI became prevalent. I want those type of authors. Those who use their own brainpower and creativity to bring a story to light.

Please do not let this deter you from the query process. There are many agents on QueryTracker that do not have this as a stipulation and can champion your work. This is my process and after two years on this platform, it works for me.

I only represent romantic comedy, romantic suspense, cozy mystery, domestic thrillers, psychological thrillers, medical thrillers or legal thrillers. When you become a client in one of these genres, I will be comfortable representing other genres you write in such as: fantasy, dark fantasy, horror, paranormal, sci-fi, romantasy, YA Fantasy, YA horror, and children's picture book. This is ONLY AFTER I HAVE SIGNED YOU AS A CLIENT.

I am also looking for NEW manuscripts. Please do not submit work that is currently or previously published. Please note, I will check your social media platforms. You need to have a digital footprint presence and not be a “ghost”. If you have previously published other books, I will take a look at your website and Amazon profile.

Equally, please be sure to: follow directions on querying; be as tight/clear as possible with your synopsis and/or blurbs; have a proper cover page for the attachment; make sure your manuscript is in a traditional formatting style; and make sure that I represent the genre that you're submitting in.
