Thank you so much for considering me for this project. I have recently updated my manuscript wish list and am not currently looking for Romantasy, fantasy (epic, historical, urban), science fiction, picture books, or middle grade (except graphic novels). I am focused on supporting my current authors in these genres.

Current Manuscript Wish List (MSWL):

Young Adult

  • Campy Horror with dark comedy, banter, and final girl vibes
  • Strong narrative underrepresented voices in horror, mystery, thriller, and LGBTQIA
  • Commercial Fiction in YA with a strong, stand-out hook
  • Graphic novels from a BIPOC or queer lens (speculative, sports, or creepy/dark)

I’m especially keen on finding a horror or thriller in a summer camp or Appalachian setting, and anything that can be compared to RIVERDALE, JENIFFER’S BODY, or STRANGER THINGS.

Graphic Novel:

I’m looking for more graphic novels in the kidlit space from authors & author-illustrators with a strong commercial voice and style. I’m a fan of anything dark, quirky, funny, scary, or queer.

Illustrators: I am still actively building my list of illustrators in partnership with Ashlee at Howland.

Adult:

LitRPG/Cozyverse: I still prefer stakes and a strong hook, but I love cozy settings, taverns, banter, betrayal, chaotic friendships, and epic adventures.

Horror/Mystery/Thrillers: Campy slasher horror, bubblegum, feminist. I love 'campy 90s-style horror, but I’d love to find one in an office, escape room, or a who-dun-it style murder mystery set at Comic-Con.

(I am NOT a good fit for commercial, serious, crime, or suspense. I lean very UNSERIOUS when it comes to horror, mystery, and thrillers.)

Horrorromance: I’d love to find a horrorromance with 90's slasher feels but also can comp to Butcher and Blackbird. Medium-to-high spice is preferred, and I lean toward dual pov, strong narratives, and lots of banter and chemistry.

Genderbent or Queer retellings of well-known stories, myths, or classics: I am a huge fan of commercial queer retellings in the historical space, or of taking a modern twist on a classic from a queer perspective. A sweeping, queer, historical twist on a classic would be the top of my MSWL right now. Give me the romantic pining of Anthony Bridgerton in something like Tristan and Isolde.

IF you think your Manuscript fits any of the areas on my wishlist, but you do not see the genre or category listed in my query genres, please submit under MSWL and make sure your query letter clearly lists your genre and where it fits on my MSWL. Please DO NOT submit under this category for a genre that I do not represent or that is not on my wishlist. I will autoreject anything submitted under MSWL that does not align with my wishlist.

Important information on the use of AI: If you used generative AI on your manuscript, we are not a good fit, and I wish you the best of luck on your querying journey. Queries submitted that have been written with the assistance of generative AI will be auto-rejected.
