Hello all,

I’m a Literary Agent at The Caldwell Agency with a focus on working with illustrators as well as genre fiction authors.

You can view my full list of genres below, but I’m open to picture books, graphic novels, manga, as well as science fiction, fantasy, and mystery novels across all ages.

As a Black man myself, I'm especially interested in diverse and inclusive stories in all the genres above. I love a good story that keeps you wanting more and more. The types of stories where you buy the book but then have to go get the audio because you don't want to miss anything while running errands.

As a kid, my grandmother being a teacher, bought me all kinds of books while at the same time helping to cultivate my love for mysteries. Big Lupin the Third fan and not because I'm also the third. I'm a big fan of Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, Avatar the Last Airbender, The Lincoln Lawyer, Abigail, Alex Cross, The Legend of Vox Machina and The Gentleman. In terms of auto-buy authors in the mystery space I enjoy James Patterson and David Baldacci. I recently finished the three-book series of Tristan Strong by Kwame Mbalia and would love to see more stories like this. A few anime and/or manga and graphic novels I loved include; Erased, Life is Money, Ordeal, Black Sun, Bad Born Blood, Shinobi Undercover, Moriarty the Patriot, Teen Titans, Young Justice, The Promised Neverland, Call of the Night, and Read or Die.

I live with my family in Texas. I’m a full-time father, and I love reading to my three-year-old daughter before bed. Some favorites of hers include We Don’t Eat Our Classmates, anything Curious George, and Dragons Love Tacos (she really loves this one). So, I’m always eager to see picture books and even illustrated chapter books that will captivate young readers.
