Hi! I’m Olivia, a literary agent at Metamorphosis Literary Agency specializing in commercial fiction for young adult and adult audiences.

I’m looking for manuscripts in the romance, fantasy, mythology, dark academia, dystopian, horror, and thriller genres. Some of my favorite subgenres include cozy fantasy, romantasy, nautical fantasy, gothic horror, folk horror, mythological retellings, and psychological thriller. I also have a special interest in genre-blending manuscripts and those with a speculative twist. I’m especially passionate about representing work from neurodivergent and disabled authors.

Across genres, I always look for character development intertwined with the plot, complex characters with rich backgrounds, immersive world-building with strong imagery, interesting side characters, well-revealed exposition, strong character arcs, nuanced relationships, the subversion of well-known tropes, and a mix of plot and character-driven storylines. I’m also drawn to atmospheric writing, slow burn romances, enemies-to-lovers and rivals-to-lovers dynamics, found family casts, themes of sisterhood, witty banter, female rage, villain-turned-ally arcs, and deaf and blind representation.

Please keep in mind that I’m not the best person to represent children's picture or chapter books, middle grade fiction, dark romance, memoir, short story collections, science fiction, high/epic fantasy, literary fiction, non-fiction, domestic thrillers, space operas, western romances, full erotica, superhero fiction, or military/political/espionage thrillers. I’m also not looking for stories that depict sexual assault, animal abuse, excessive gore, all- or majority-male casts, cheating plotlines, pandemics, world-building featuring AI systems without critiquing them, age-gap romances, surprise pregnancies, or instalove.
