I love stories with compelling magical or political systems, not just romance (though I welcome spice!). I’m open to both low and high fantasy, particularly unique fairytale or mythological retellings. I’m also interested in chilling, atmospheric horror (more Horrid than gore). Surprise me, unsettle me, and keep me turning the pages.

What I look for in every submission:

• Complex, layered characters

• Strong, uplifting friendships

• Dynamic, witty dialogue

• Fierce female protagonists (think Celaena from TOG, Sloane from B&B, Auren from The Gold Plated Prisoner, Violet from Fourth Wing, Adeline/Sibby from Haunting Adeline)

• Light fantasy/magical realism in dark settings (Ninth House)

What excites me most in a manuscript:

• LGBTQ+ relationships (à la Simon & Baz)

• Fresh spins on clichés (Butcher & Blackbird style)

• Untold fairytale/myth retellings (African, Norse, Asian myths; or characters like Rumplestiltskin or King Midas)

• Neurodivergent and disabled characters

• BIPOC protagonists

Other genres I’d happily consider:

• Fluffy, feel-good romance (Fangirl)

• Historical fantasy (Kingdom of the Wicked)

• Gender-norm–subverting historical fiction (Stalking Jack the Ripper)

I'm not a good fit for:

• Crime/Thrillers/Suspense that focus on cops, the government, or anything of the like in a contemporary setting
