On 6/8/19, Ms. Wolf tweeted: "All right! For the next couple of weeks I’m specifically going to be focusing on going through queries and fulls! If you haven’t heard from me in a while, you should be getting a response soon! #amagenting"

So for everyone still waiting, hang in there!

Ktelle - I'm at about the same point (more, actually- 57 days) but I'm not giving up. If she *does* have a maybe pile, I want to stay in it, lol. However, since I don't think agents have any idea what goes on here on our side of the query line, do whatever helps your sanity. I CNRed about five agents a while back because they all had low reply rates and I didn't think I'd ever hear from them. I queried all of them in February, and I just got a nice rejection from one about a week ago.
Long story short: do whatever keeps you sane. Lol.
As far as nudging goes, I'm guessing she just has a crapton of queries... I don't think nudging will help, unless you're talking about a partial or full and I'm completely misunderstanding the situation.

She liked my pitch during June Pitmad, so tweeted to let her know -- she said she'll take a look.

It’s been six weeks since I queried and crickets. What do we think? Should I nudge?

Form Query: 3/14/19

Sent message advising I had done a revision and asked - if I was still under consideration - would she like the revised first ten pages.

Got response withing 10 minutes saying she'd love to see them and asked I withdraw and resubmit. This was after 83 days

Wilmoon, if you're anxious to send to the PitDark agent, you can send Kerstin a short email withdrawing your query. Then there's no conflict.

Wilmoon, just send it to the other agent. They requested it. Make a note saying something along the lines of, "Prior to your request, I queried this agent, but have yet to receive a response."

Agents understand that there can be overlap with these events. But if you have a solid "send me this," don't waste the opportunity.

A lot of agents start with very good intentions, meaning to respond to every query in a timely manner. But the relentless flood of queries overwhelms many of even the best intentioned, and even if someone does figure out a strategy, it takes time. I'd be patient but also set yourself a reminder to close out at some point which feels long enough to you since one isn't specified.

@karenleespree Yeah her method for going through queries is really confusing me. I was with it when she said she had a maybe pile, but recently she's been replying to so many recent ones while mine is still sitting unanswered. I have a PitDark request with another agent at the agency so this is really infuriating!
