@kasselle it depends. Usually it is best practice to wait until after the agent's estimated response time (so if they say8-12 weeks, then you can nudge after 12 weeks). Some writers will nudge after another agent requests their full manuscript, the idea being that the thought that other agents are interested might light a fire.
If you get an offer of representation from an agent, then you should always nudge and inform any other agent you currently have submitted to.
