Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

Cardona was my second rejection of the day. A shame because I really was impressed with some of his agency's work and am hoping to find someone with experience with writers of color.

On 3/23/16, I've requeried Moses with Chain Reaction. Today I've nudged him and heard back--I was on hold before he went on London Book Fair. But he decided to pass, since he's stacked with queries and doesn't have the time to look at it again. He wished me luck with it and mentioned Thrillerfest, which is something I can't afford. So I'll retry Anne with Chain Reaction later in May.

Form letter "While this appears to be a strong project, I'm afraid it doesn't strike me as a likely fit with me..."

Got back to me the same day I sent it. It was a rejection saying my project was strong but it didn't fit with his other contracts

Sent query 11/30 with 3 chapter attached. So far he is only agent I've found who accepts attachments.

Nudged him and he replied that my sub is n his TBR file. Happy Dance

On 1/20/16, I've requeried Moses Carbona with Venom. Today I've heard back from him--he passed, not a good for him. I'll try him in Mach with Chain Reaction's requery.

Dear (my name)

Thank you for your recent query but this does not seem right for me so I'm going to respectfully pass on looking at more material. Best of success with the project.

ER 9/18/15-Form letter rejection, but at least he put my name on the letter unlike most agents.

Nudge: 2/1/15

Got a personal response the next day saying he is still working on submissions from late December and he hopes to get to my query over the weekend and see if he wants to read more.

As a previous author said, lucky clients! (Hope I get to be one!)

Another nudge: 3/31: "I really appreciated your prompt and considerate response. I still haven't heard from you, however. Did it get lost in the shuffle, or should I assume it's a pass?"

4/12: Closing this out.

Sunflowersky, it's been about two weeks, since you nudged him. Wait a bit longer, say till the end of the month, and nudge him again, or close it out as a no response and move on.

Still hasn't responded to my late December one... can I hope this means he's giving it some thought?
