Initial rejection on 4/8, very personalized and gave some notes on what she didn't like. I told her I am currently working on an R&R that may address her issues, and she welcomed me to resubmit when it is finished.

Thank you for sending me your revised manuscript. I’m really sorry to have to say that I still didn’t quite fall in love. I’m convinced this is a me thing, because I think your prose is great, and I like the changes you’ve made to get the pace of the mystery going more quickly. However, I think I just didn’t connect with Autumn as strongly as I’d need to, and I didn’t find that my editorial brain was sparking as I read, which says to me that I’m not going to be the right agent here.


I’d certainly welcome hearing from you again with another project if you don’t find a home for this – but I suspect another agent may well feel differently about your work and snap this up. I’m sorry not to be writing with better news, but I really appreciate your giving me a shot, and wish you the best of luck from here!
