At 55 days, I received a thoughtful rejection encouraging me to query other agents at her agency.

Form rejection at 24 days: "While the premise was engaging and interesting, I'm afraid that I struggled to connect with your writing. It didn't propel me into the story the way that I'm looking for"

@braymae I was coming to say the exact same thing! I had a moment of thinking it was personalized

Form rejection seems personalized so be mindful of that and don’t race to edit your sample if you get this rejection unless you’ve gotten this feedback from others of course: Thank you for sending me your query! Unfortunately, after careful consideration, I have decided that it's not a great fit for me at this time. While the premise of (title) was engaging and interesting, I'm afraid that I struggled to connect with your writing. It didn't propel me into the story the way that I'm looking for. I am sorry I am not emailing with better news and no doubt another agent will feel differently. I wish you all the very best luck finding a great home and enthusiastic champion for your work. Thank you for considering me and best of luck with your future queries!
