Email query: 7/26/22
Partial request: 8/22/22

Same exact form letter as they send for queries and sent by submissions editor (I interacted with two different ones during the process as well).

Have any of the partial requests in the last 4 months turned into a full without nudging due to another offer?

"Thank you for your submission.

Your work has been carefully reviewed by the agent you queried, and it has been determined that Holloway Literary will not be pursuing representation of your manuscript. We regret sending you this information in a form letter; however, due to the volume of emails we receive daily it is almost impossible to send customized letters to every author. Thank you again for thinking of Holloway Literary, and we wish you every success in your writing career."

Email Query: August 15 (received auto-response. At present their query responses are estimated to take 6-8 weeks.)
Form R from submissions manager, Sept. 27

I see that she's made no offers on MG, and very few requests, at least based on these pages. YA is still of most interest to most agents, it seems, despite being, apparently, a harder sell these days.

@MTMPit I wouldn't write it off. From my experience Bethany Fulk and the Holloway team are good about replying. She requested a partial and then a full of my last ms also and I think it was a little past 5 months for the reply from my full. I think the Fall just might be a bit busier for some agents (summer vacation catch ups/kids going back to school/some agents reopen around then and get flooded/etc), so that might be why it could take longer than their usual stated timeframe. (Honestly, I think a lot of agents are tending to longer timeframes than their stated/previously had b/c it seems they're getting a lot more queries than even just from what it was a few years ago??) And if you nudged mostly with the comment of having minor edits, then I feel like most agents don't worry about edits unless they're significant. Anyway, it might not be about the length of your story and more about the volume of other queries/requests that's making it a bit outside her standard timeframe? I'd wait a bit longer before writing them off myself. Good luck and I hope you get a response soon.

I sent in a full request on 3/30/22 after getting a partial a month before and sending the query on 1/05/22 and still haven't heard back. They sent me two different emails with one saying response times for fulls were 3-4 months while the other said 4-5 months. I nudged them on 8/30/22 with a greeting and notification on a few minor edits I made, heard noting back. Should I write off this agent as ghosting me? I know agents are busy, but my story was rather short at 39k words, so I don't know why they haven't responded in 5 months. Tbh, even if I got a form rejection at this point, I'd still feel like it'd be a slap to the face.

@christinaferko - I had this happen with another agency. I tried twice with no response, then waited a few weeks and tried again and finally got the response. Hope you're able to get through eventually!
