10-16-2017 query through online form, literary fiction
10-19 Request for a 50 pg sample to be sent by post
10-23 Sent sample;
11-21 Nudge with offer
12-11He apologized for late reply and said if I hadn't yet engaged an agent he would read.
I did not ask him to read further, as I had a second offer, but he wrote on 12-20 saying he'd read and would like to see more...
But I accepted the earlier offer.

Raphee, I'm only guessing, but since their form doesn't actually ask for a query letter, I'd say that the "summary" from your query letter would work here. Good luck.

What does this mean in the Query Form:
Summary *
Briefly describe your project, indicating what makes it unique and compelling.

Do we send in our regular query, or do we need to have some other format? Say give a description in overall terms with a brief mention of characters and story(I mean shorter than our usual query).

On 3/16/16, I requeried William Clark with Chain Reaction. I've nudged him last month and got no response. So it's closed out as CNR.

Update: 10/24/16, he passed. Not strong candidate. So I'll try him with Diplomatic Immunity next week.

11/2/16: EQ Diplomatic Immunity--same day rejection with same response. I'll try him next year with new manuscript.

He has had 50 pages on exclusive for a month, so I sent him a nudge letter, but haven't heard back. Just got another partial request from an agent. Hope I hear back today.

Same day rejection for Venom's requery with a pass--not the best advocate for my work. I'll try him in March with Chain Reaction.

I received a nice email asking for 50 pages so he could decide whether he responded to my writing or not. He requested exclusivity but I was not able to provide it because another agent had requested it exactly four minutes earlier. I'm really hoping to find an agent that wants to help me promote the story, the point of which is to encourage more volunteering on behalf of children.

So I realize a lot of people are aggravated that they've JUST received a rejection after 6-12 months from the initial query. Today I got a rejection exactly 6 months after my query. Sure, it's frustrating, but I'd MUCH RATHER an agent who takes the time - even 6 months or a year late - to say "thanks but no thanks." Sure it's not timely, but it's a heck of a lot kinder than those who never response. I closed this one out as a no reply in April, but I'm glad to finally be able to close it out as a rejection.

Here, too.

Query by form in July of 2014.
Today I received a email rejection.

I had completely forgotten all about it because I closed this one out.

Yep - I got one too. One year later. Seriously? Why even bother to send.

I completed the online form in July of last year (2014) for a nonfiction book. I closed the query four months later after no response. Today I received a rejection on the original query. Really? It takes you a year to respond to a query? My recommendation -- don't waste your time.

SunFlowerSky, remember those numbers to your right are just averages. If you look at his reports I think he has a response thats like 159 days or something, and that one was positive so you know...Keep the faith! :)
