rejection after 20 days: "Thank you for sending your work my way. I appreciate the opportunity to consider it but unfortunately it is not a good fit for me at this time, so I will have to pass. The premise and protagonist are both charming, but I felt that the opening chapters were bogged down with exposition. Do note that a pass from one of us is a pass from the agency as we share queries among us."

Before contacting an agent, authors should verify and assess the agent's requirements and suitability by visiting the agent's website(s), and becoming familiar with ways to spot and avoid bad agents. A good place to start is Writers Beware, a watch group that helps inform and protect authors from shady practices.
Founder of this agency has a fun TikTok channel with a sassy straight-forward attitude that I like, even when I don't agree with her opinions. She shares a lot of insight into the industry that are helpful.
