Request for full: Aug 13, 2015
ER: Oct 1 Addiction memoir
We have carefully considered your submission. I’m afraid that we are not enthusiastic enough about your query to pursue it further. Because of changes in the marketplace we are taking on few clients right now, and as such have to be very selective about the projects we do sign

I recently submitted and haven`t heard back (got an acknowledgement of receipt).

Just checked Data Explorer on her: the last request she made was in 2009. That`s right; FIVE years ago! And she`s failed to reply to about 95 out of 100 queries over those years.

Lesson learned: check the data explorer first so as not to waste time. Plus there ought to be some way to flag an agent who is a complete non-responder year after year just so others are aware.

Their website says nothing about not accepting queries through email. Only that they don't take snail mail queries

Had an offer of representation which turned into two. I alerted everyone with material on 7/24 and asked for a decision by July 31st. Elizabeth said she'd "check in with the agent" with my manuscript but then I never heard anything after that.

8/3 - Heard back today, 3 days after my requested deadline with a pleasant rejection about not being able to offer representation but congrats on finding representation elsewhere.

e-query to on 6/25
request for partial 6/30 from Rachel Griffin who seems to be their submissions coordinator. The web site mentions it's okay to email her directly when sending e-queries:

"If you wish to submit by email, please begin with an email query only — no attachments. We will then invite you to send further material. Please note that due to the very large number of email queries we receive, we do not respond to email queries unless we intend to further consider your work. We suggest you include "Author Query" in the subject line to get around the spam filter. Email queries should be directed to Elizabeth Griffin at"
